#25: Real Talk: Overcoming Obstacles & Entrepreneurship with Mary “MJ” McConner

Listen To The Episode.

Dr. Mary “MJ” McConner walked into the lobby of the Memphian Hotel with the biggest smile on her face and I instantly knew we were going to be friends. MJ, as she is known, was there for her American Heart Association Women of Impact photo shoot with me. This honor one of the many honors she has received over the last few years.

MJ branched out as an entrepreneur rather recently in 2021, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, launching Inclusive Excellence Consulting.

The path to success is never easy nor a straight line, yet often we look at others success with awe at how that did it so effortlessly.

In this episode, you’ll hear MJ and I talk about growing up in Detroit, handling hearing loss and Dyslexia and her path to founding her company – and lemme tell you, it was POWERFUL. As MJ courageously shared her struggles and stepped into her power, we talked about several techniques for showing up as our true selves and taking up space in the world.

This episode is sure to encourage and empower everyone!
